A COLLECTED PASSION – JAY RIGGIO { ARTIST TO WATCH }

IMG_9083.JPG
For the last 15 years Jay Riggio has been cutting and piecing things together, developing stories from his work in lieu of illustrating them. He draws inspiration from his background in film and cinematography which has given his work a classic vintage look bordering on pop-art. Armed with an amazing stash of vintage magazines and books, X-acto knife, scissors, and glue, Riggio transforms his blank canvas’ into interpretations of life, love, humanity, humor and dreams. Unlike some collage artists today, Riggio creates all his pieces by hand – an extensive process. This New York artist seems to open windows to other worlds within worlds, something we here at Nakid love – look for more from Jay Riggio on Nakid in the future!
