When most people think of street art or graffiti, they either imagine “wild style” lettering and bubble letters, or stenciled images highlighting political commentary. Over the years, artists like Banksy, Shepard Fairey, and fuck… maybe even Mr. Brainwash have become synonymous with the scene.
Yet, there is a sub-genere of muralist work thats slowly been infiltrating the streets. Recently, we came across the amazing work of Spanish artist Borondo. Using thick, slabbing earth tones, he’s been able to create contemplative portraits that draw the viewer into a world of artistic isolation.
