In 2014, Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant contacted conceptual design studio Lernert & Sander to create a piece for a special documentary photography issue about food.  The artists responded with something so unconventional and  somewhat miraculous, a photo of 98 unprocessed foods cut into extremely precise 2.5cm cubes aligned on a staggered grid layout. Despite the look of the shot seeming impossible, keeping all those foods together that long and nothing faltering, the studio confirms it is indeed the real thing.

Cutting raw food into 98 perfect 2.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm cubes, creating a tantalizing geometric display of them is some feat and is no wonder why the photo is going viral.

The two artists started collaborating on art-related projects in 2007, and their first film together explores different ways to melt a chocolate bunny.
