Tristan Eaton takes spray painting to a new level! No, we aren’t talking about graffiti, but rather fine art spray painting. Born in Los Angeles in 1978, Tristan Eaton pursued street art as a troubled teenager as a form of expression, he painted everything from billboards, to dumpsters. He wasn’t stationary either, having traveled to London, Detroit, & New York and painting everything he could get his hands on. He is a self-proclaimed skateboarding punk, which today may have a little different meaning then it did back then. As a teenager he was arrested for various crimes including shoplifting & tagging with graffiti.
At the age of 18 years old Eaton designed his first toy for Fisher Price & began working as an artist full-time, focusing his energy into his design work. He has since become a driving force in the world of ‘Art Toys’, designing the popular Dunny & Munny figures for Kidrobot. Tristan’s work can be seen in galleries around the world & in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).
