Twenty-eight year old Russian photographer Alissa Tim spends her days as a graduate of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Arcitecture Ilya Glazunov (2006-2011). In this, her first exclusive and showcase on NAKID we showcase her graduate work: “Artists of Russian Symbolism M.A. Vrubel and V.E. Borisov-Musatov (the problem of the creative method)“. She has shown exhibitions all over Moscow and more, “SURGERY: BIRTH, LOVE, MEETINGS, INTERESTS, WISHES” (Moscow, 2014); the Third museum photobiennale of contemporary photography in Russian museum (Saint-Petersburg; 2014); “Z E R K A L A” (the 5th Moscow Biennale of contemporary art, 2013); “The lenses of gender ” (Moscow, 2012); “D I A L O G” (Moscow, 2011). All of the artworks are stored in the collection of Mikhail Alshibaya, private collections and in the collection of the Russian Museum – how fucking badass is that?! It’s clear to see why her work is in-demand with it’s edgy avant-garde presentation, the strong composition and inspiring frames of each of her subjects she captures; the work just oozes talent and a keen eye for excellent aesthetic.
