GOD BLESS CHICAGO.

They have been giving us some of the greatest artists of my lifetime, and that city shows no sign of stopping. Chicago producer oddCouple is an artist who is currently emerging- but chances are you’ve already heard him.

oddCouple has worked with artists like Chance The Rapper, Jamila Wood, Joey Purp, Noname, Kweku Collins- to name a few. His beats cover various sounds that are sort of…dream-like- especially with the careful pairing of rappers/vocals over more classic, vintage sounding instrumentals. His newest project, Liberation, is so smooth to listen to. Something you could most definitely vibe out to while riding around the city. Liberation features many artists, the opening song “Slept On” features Mike Golden with lyrics that definitely set the scene for the album.

It’s obvious his importance to the city’s music culture, especially when Chicago Magazine named “LSD” (Jamila Woods ft. Chance The Rapper) a song produced by oddCouple as the #1 Chicago song of 2016. Epic.

You can listen to Liberation on SoundCloud, and follow him via Twitter or Instagram.
